This is a tattoo design for a friend of mine. he wanted the tree of life, only different so's to be unique for himself. so this is what i came up with. of course there are many different designs for the tree of life, i'm well aware, but for those of you who know what one i'm playing off of.. well.. there ya go! lol.

i'm always unsure of how to colour tattoo designs like that.. so usually i just leave it until maybe i get an idea and make another coloured version... any suggestions?

well.... its a tree. brown fading into bluey greens would be cool, you could have shaded swirls in the wood work, anything really, just trust your imagination :P
i'd suggest using coloured pencils, but you could get some great washes with watercolours too...

omg, second tree of life found in a day, its brilliant and should be left back and white it hold more essence without colour.

thanks! yes i agree very much. there's no harm in saving colour for different designs. this one needs the punch of clean, black lines. =D thankoo again!
